Large 1950s Sputnik Chandelier by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi

An original Italian 1950s Sputnik chandelier by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi.
 
This stunning piece is comprised of fourteen brass lamp holders on striated brass rods, affixed to a contoured hub with ridged stem and conical ceiling rose.
 
The alternating lengths and linear design convey the dynamism of astral bodies as well as the human ambition of the time.
 
It has been polished but retains patina commensurate with vintage. It is wired for E14 bulbs but can be adapted for E12 bulbs if required.
